Staff the Floor
Two patients in the same room shouldn't have to wait for each other's nurse. We made commands team-aware so care runs in parallel — and gave you a staff pool to deploy people across rooms by dragging an avatar.
Staffing was the hidden bottleneck. Commands competed for the same people, so two patients sharing a room ended up serialized — one waiting while the other’s intervention finished. Staff tracking told you who was available; it didn’t yet stop them from colliding. That’s not how a real floor works, and it’s not how the simulation should either.
Commands are now team-aware. Each ward patient — Shock Room, Care Unit — has an assigned team. When a command runs, only that team’s members are eligible, so two patients in one room can execute commands at the same time without fighting over staff. A patient with no team yet shows a Waiting for team assignment status and starts automatically the moment the team is filled. And when a command finishes, any freed staff member is immediately checked against pending patients — previously blocked commands start the instant a hand comes free.
You deploy that staff from a single view. The sidebar’s Employees button toggles a staff allocation view, with a Staff Pool column beside Triage showing everyone not yet deployed. Click an avatar to open their card and send them to a room. Staff in transit drop out of the pool while they move, and slot into the patient team automatically when they arrive.
Together they turn staffing from a constraint you fought into a resource you command.
